Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-01

This policy explains what Alhomsi Dev collects when you use alhomsi.dev, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website. Our desktop applications are covered separately below, because they behave differently.

1. Who is responsible

Alhomsi Dev -- an independent software developer based in Türkiye, operating as a sole trader -- is the data controller for this website. For any question about your data, or to exercise the rights below, write to contact@alhomsi.dev.

2. What our applications collect

Our desktop applications run locally on your computer. They do not send us your videos, transcripts, documents, workspace contents, sales records or customer data. There is no account inside the applications and no telemetry pipeline reporting your usage back to us.

Two applications reach the network for a specific, limited purpose, stated on their product pages: CapSnip downloads its speech model once during first-run setup, and Sukun fetches prayer times for your location. Neither sends us your content.

3. What this website collects

When you send us a message

The contact form collects your name, your email address, the application you selected, and your message. We store it so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser user-agent string, solely to rate-limit the form against abuse. The raw IP address is not stored.

When you sign in

Signing in is optional and only needed to view purchases you have already made. We use Google as the sign-in provider. From your Google account we receive your name, your email address and your profile picture URL. We do not receive your password and we cannot read or post anything else on your behalf.

When you buy

Payment is taken by Paddle.com Market Ltd, not by us. We never see or store your card details. After a successful payment, Paddle.com Market Ltd sends us the transaction identifier, the email address you used, the product bought and the amount, so we can issue your licence key and show the purchase in your account.

Analytics

We use a self-hosted Umami instance to count page views. It runs on our own server, sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not build a profile of you. It records aggregate information such as page path, referrer, browser and country.

Server logs

Our web server keeps short-lived request logs for security and debugging. These may include IP addresses and are deleted on a rolling basis.

4. Why we are allowed to process it

  • To perform our contract with you: processing your purchase, issuing your licence key, and giving you access to your download.
  • For our legitimate interests: replying to your message, preventing abuse of the contact form, keeping the site secure, and understanding aggregate traffic.
  • To comply with legal obligations: keeping records required by tax and accounting law.

5. Cookies

This site sets one cookie, and only after you choose to sign in: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for that feature. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party analytics cookies, which is why the site shows no cookie banner.

6. Who we share it with

  • Paddle.com Market Ltd — merchant of record. Processes your payment and holds your billing data under its own privacy policy at https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy.
  • Google — sign-in provider, if you choose to sign in.
  • Our hosting provider — operates the server this site runs on.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not pass it to data brokers.

7. How long we keep it

  • Contact messages: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
  • Rate-limiting records: 24 hours.
  • Account and purchase records: for as long as your account exists, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Analytics: aggregate counts only, retained indefinitely; they are not linked to you.
  • Server logs: rotated within 30 days.

You can ask us to delete your account and its purchase history at any time by writing to contact@alhomsi.dev. Note that we may need to retain a minimal transaction record to satisfy tax law, and that deleting your account does not revoke a licence you have already bought.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email contact@alhomsi.dev. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for it and will not treat you differently for asking.

9. International transfers

Our processors may handle data outside Türkiye. Where that happens, transfers are made under the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Sessions are stored server-side. We keep no card data of any kind. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect precisely so that there is little to lose.

12. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.

13. Contact

Alhomsi Dev, Türkiye. Email: contact@alhomsi.dev.

This policy is published in English, Arabic and Turkish. If the versions differ, the English version governs.
